<Title - Description of Work Package> window General information tab

Opens when you select any work package from the Engineering/Construction/Installation/Test work package list window. The General Information tab is the top tab that displays. The fields vary slightly depending on the work package activity type.

Overall work progress

(Not available for Engineering work packages) The Overall work progress field shows the percentage of completeness for the work package. When you select View or update progress, the Tasks tab opens for you to make additional updates.

Hours

(Not available for Engineering work packages) Shows the estimated, actual and earned hours for the task, as well as the PF (Performance Factor).

History

(Not available for Engineering work packages)
  • Last updated: - date, time, and person who last updated the work package
  • Issued: - date, time, and person who issued the work package
  • Created: - date, time, and person who created the work package

Title

Shows the title of the work package.

Status

Shows the status of the work package (one of the following for Construction, Installation, and Test):

  • Being planned
  • Not started
  • Ready for field
  • In the field
  • Completed

One of the following for Engineering work packages only:

  • Not IFC
  • IFC with holds
  • IFC

Discipline

Shows the discipline of the work package. Choices are Cable, Cable Trays, Concrete, Electrical, Equipment, Instrumentation, Multi-Discipline, Pipe, and Steel.

Data provider

(Engineering work packages only) Displays who will provide the resources.

Activity type

(Not available for Engineering work packages) The activity type of the work package: Construction, Installation or Test.

Package type

The package type: Engineering, Construction, Installation or Test.

Turnover system

(Test work packages only) Displays the turnover system if one has been associated with the work package.

Construction work area

(Construction and Installation work packages only) Displays the construction work area if one has been associated with the work package.

Publish status

(Not available for Engineering work packages) Displays the status of the work package publishing process.

Date received

(Engineering work packages only) Displays the date the work package was received.

Revision

Displays the number of the EWP revision that you are viewing. The current revision displays by default.

Contractor

(Installation and Test work packages only) Displays the name of the contractor.

Related engineering work packages

(Construction work packages only) Shows any related engineering work packages.

Related construction work packages

(Engineering work packages only) Shows any related construction work packages.

Notes

Any notes added when the work package was created.

Revisions

(Engineering work packages only) Displays a list of all the revisions of the EWP. The current revision is selected by default. To view a historic EWP revision, select the checkbox next to it. The revisions list displays the revision number, status, date created, and who the EWP revision was created by. For more information about revisions, go to Revisioning the Engineering Work Package.
